Kick Off Meeting ECOVET Leonardo da Vinci Project

ECVET system for no borders in the green Economy sector, supporting employability, adaptability and European mobility in VET Systems and Labour Market

From 19 to 21 February 2014 will be held in Siena at the Chamber of Commerce, the kick off meeting of the project ECOVET, which will debate at European level on qualifications related to green jobs, employability, adaptability of people, mobility of workers,  in order to recognize periods of learning abroad.

The work of the partnership will open with a press conference in  February 21 at 11:30 am at the Chamber of Commerce of Siena, which will be attended by the President of the Chamber of Commerce Massimo Guasconi and the Councillor of the Province of Siena Simonetta Pellegrini. In this Occasion Eurobic Toscana Sud, as partner coordinator, will present the project.

Presently, the lack of common institutions and methodologies for the assessment, transfer, validation and recognition of learning outcomes, as well as the lack of flexibility of training solutions, are delaying full integration of the labour market and the development of human capital throughout life, making difficult the development of career paths and the enhancement of skills acquired in different contexts.

The Chamber of Commerce of Siena, applicant organization together with the Province of Siena, Eurobic Toscana Sud srl, CNA Siena and National Consortium for Training and Guidance, will start the path with the Austrian colleagues of the Institut für Bildungsforschung der Wirtschaft, Greek IDEC SA, Spain's Spanish Confederation of Education and Training Centres, Romanian Asociatia Observator pentru Dezvoltarea Invatarii Permanente, Slovenian Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training to obtain recognizable qualifications in different countries and European contexts.

The project involves the Region of Tuscany, the Chambers of Commerce of Arezzo and Grosseto as supporter partners, ESTR.A. Energy, Intesa, NOVA AND Srl, Ltd. TSE, La Fabbrica del Sole scarl, Siena Ambiente, Acquedotto del Fiora as associated partners.

We invite all those actors who are interested in the objectives of the project: trainers, businesses, teachers, principals of schools PPAA, and experts in the field.
